Asterisk Knee Brace Carbon Cell 1 (CC1). Our dedication to making the finest quality, fitting and performing knee braces in the world has led us to the design and development of the CC1. The CC1 is manufactured from Military Spec and Aerospace grade carbon fiber prepreg that is made in America, the finest in the world. Our focus during the design and development of the CC1 was making the slimmest, lightest, most comfortable knee brace in the world. We wanted a brace that fit so well on your leg, it looks like it’s painted on, and we hit a home run!
At roughly 1lb or 454g (+/-depending on size) per brace, we believe it’s the lightest, best fitting and most comfortable functional knee brace in the world, without sacrificing strength and durability. The CC1 is backed by a 3-year frame warranty. Asterisk is the inventor of the off the shelf carbon fiber performance knee brace, and in the world of knee protection and bracing, this is a game changer.

The Asterisk Carbon Cell 1 (CC1) is the world's slimmest, lightest carbon fibre motocross knee brace — and the product that proved Asterisk's status as the inventor of the off-the-shelf carbon fibre performance knee brace. Art of Racing stocks the CC1 as part of a full Asterisk lineup, shipped from Europe.
The CC1 frame is manufactured from Military Spec and Aerospace-grade 12K carbon fibre prepreg, made in Asterisk's factory in Corona, California, USA. At approximately 454g (1 lb) per brace, it is engineered to deliver the thinnest, most form-fitting brace profile available without compromising structural integrity or protection. The Symmetri-Glide Hinge tracks the natural rolling-gliding motion of the knee joint, allowing smooth anatomically correct movement while the adjustable extension regulator lets riders set their preferred range of motion from 0° to 30°.
The patented Anti-Rotation Tether links the brace to the boot, transferring lower leg rotation forces through the brace rather than directly to the knee — the most effective protection against rotational injury in a crash. The three-piece Tele-Tri Patella Cup made from high-impact Nylon 6 provides full knee cap coverage during movement, with thermo-formed EV50 shock-absorbing foam padding underneath. Four Velcro-backed straps with adjustable neoprene pads complete the secure, custom-feel fit.

Asterisk Technologies manufactures motocross knee braces designed for competitive off-road riding. The Cell and Ultra Cell series feature a polycentric hinged design that mirrors the natural flexion arc of the knee joint and includes an anterior tibial restraint system to prevent hyperextension under impact.
Asterisk braces are CE Level 1 certified and designed to be worn directly over base layer or under riding pants without requiring additional strapping systems. The polycentric hinge allows full range of motion in the riding position while the restraint geometry limits the joint angles associated with ACL and PCL loading under crash conditions. Sizing is based on knee circumference for correct hinge axis alignment.
