In 2019, we introduced the Micro Cell. The Micro Cell is designed specifically for the younger rider, approximately 5-10 years old, depending on size and weight. This is
also the first of our “Slim Line” of carbon knee braces.
The Micro Cell has an epoxy prepreg carbon frame, made in our factory in Corona, California, with a full coverage patella cup and hyper extension stops ranging from 0-30 degrees (similar to our current Jr Cell) and Carbon Cell Braces. It is also equipped with our true motion hinge. This brace offers rigid lateral arms for the best support and lowest profile. The Micro Cell assures all the important areas of knee protection are addressed which most other braces do not offer. (Option thickness available on request)

The Asterisk Micro Cell is a youth motocross knee brace specifically designed for younger riders aged approximately 5 to 10 years old — the first brace in Asterisk's "Slim Line" of carbon knee braces. Built in Asterisk's factory in Corona, California, the Micro Cell brings the same construction quality as the adult braces into a purpose-built youth size.
The Micro Cell features an epoxy prepreg carbon frame with 12K aerospace carbon fibre — the same material used in the adult Carbon Cell line. The Symmetri-Glide Hinge ensures smooth, natural knee motion, and adjustable hyperextension stops from 10° to 30° allow the brace to be tuned as the rider develops. Rigid lateral arms provide maximum lateral support and the lowest possible profile for fitting under youth riding gear.
The full-coverage Tele-Tri Patella Cup in high-impact Nylon 6 ensures the kneecap is fully protected at all times. Dual Stage Padding is included — neoprene-lined frame pads come in two thicknesses to accommodate leg growth, allowing the brace to continue fitting correctly as the child develops. The optional Anti-Rotation Tether can be fitted to provide additional lower leg stability as the rider progresses to higher speeds.

Asterisk Technologies manufactures motocross knee braces designed for competitive off-road riding. The Cell and Ultra Cell series feature a polycentric hinged design that mirrors the natural flexion arc of the knee joint and includes an anterior tibial restraint system to prevent hyperextension under impact.
Asterisk braces are CE Level 1 certified and designed to be worn directly over base layer or under riding pants without requiring additional strapping systems. The polycentric hinge allows full range of motion in the riding position while the restraint geometry limits the joint angles associated with ACL and PCL loading under crash conditions. Sizing is based on knee circumference for correct hinge axis alignment.
