The 6D ATB-1 Switch is a premium full-face downhill and enduro mountain bike helmet that brings 6D's patented Omni-Directional Suspension™ technology to the most demanding disciplines. Built for riders who need full facial protection alongside the most advanced brain protection available, the ATB-1 is the full-face helmet of choice for serious enduro and downhill athletes.
Inside the carbon fibre shell, 6D's ODS dual-liner technology uses two independent foam layers — an outer EPS liner and an inner EPP liner — connected by precision-placed elastomeric isolation dampers. These dampers allow the inner liner to move in six degrees of freedom during impact, managing both linear acceleration and the rotational forces that cause concussion. Unlike MIPS, which only addresses angular motion at the outer shell, ODS provides active suspension across the entire impact spectrum.
The large eyeport and contoured roost guard provide exceptional visibility. A clavicle cut-away reduces collarbone pressure in forward crashes, and shear-away visor screws prevent visor leverage from rotating the helmet during impact.

6D Helmets is an American premium helmet manufacturer specialising in Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology for motocross and off-road applications. The ODS system uses dual-foam construction with elastomeric isolation dampers positioned between the inner and outer helmet shells, designed to manage both linear and rotational impact energy in a single integrated structure.
The ATR-2 and ATR-2Y models are produced in composite fibreglass and full carbon fibre shell configurations, certified to ECE 22.06 standard. 6D helmets are built for riders who prioritise impact energy management over minimum certification compliance — ODS technology reduces peak G-force transmission at impact velocities where single-foam helmets reach their energy absorption limit.
