In 2019, we introduced the Micro Cell. The Micro Cell is designed specifically for the younger rider, approximately 5-10 years old, depending on size and weight. This is also the first of our “Slim Line” of carbon knee braces.
The Micro Cell has an epoxy prepreg carbon frame, made in our factory in Corona, California, with a full coverage patella cup and adjustable hyper extension stops. It is also equipped with our true motion hinge. This brace offers rigid lateral arms for the best support and lowest profile.
Asterisk Micro Cell: carbon fibre knee brace for young motocross riders, approximately 5 to 10 years old depending on size and weight. One size, left brace, right brace or a pair, cotton undersleeves in the box.

The Asterisk Micro Cell is the Asterisk knee brace for the youngest riders, approximately 5 to 10 years old depending on size and weight, and the first brace in its Slim Line of carbon braces. The frame is 12K aerospace carbon fibre, made in the Asterisk factory in Corona, California.
Size: one size, sold as a left brace, a right brace or a pair.
Hinge: Symmetri-Glide hinge that follows the rolling and gliding motion of the knee, with adjustable hyperextension stops and adjustable straps.
Protection: rigid lateral arms for side support at a low profile, and a three-piece Tele-Tri patella cup in high-impact Nylon 6 over shock-absorbing foam that covers the kneecap through the full range of motion.
In the box: the brace and cotton compression undersleeves. The Asterisk Youth Banded Knee Brace Undersleeves are the alternative with an elastic band.
Care: non-corrosive metals and composites, hand washable soft parts.

Asterisk builds carbon fibre knee braces for motocross by hand at its factory in Corona, California. Art of Racing stocks the Carbon Cell Pro for adults, the Micro Cell for riders approximately 5 to 10 years old, Asterisk banded undersleeves in adult and youth sizes, and the Zero G Knee Brace Pant, which holds any brand of knee brace in place under the riding pant.
The Carbon Cell Pro and the Micro Cell ship with cotton compression undersleeves, and the Carbon Cell Pro also with the patented Asterisk Anti-Rotation Tether, which links the brace to the boot. Adult sizes go by knee circumference, measured on bare skin around the middle of the kneecap with the leg straight.
