The newly upgraded Carbon Cell PRO, it has the same frame as the regular Carbon Cell with a few modifications to its fitment.
We have added liners to the strapping system to ensure extra comfort and consistency to the strap placement. We have included our upgraded gear guards to help with the feel and protection of the motorcycle and to prevent any tearing of clothing. We have added wedge pads to the tibial area to ensure proper fitment and fill any gaps for better protection. The Carbon Cell Pro has our new patented Anti-Rotation Tether which is the only brace on the market to offer this kind of protection. All of these things contribute to the best-fitting, lightest weight protection on the market.

The Asterisk Carbon Cell Pro is the Carbon Cell frame in 12K aerospace carbon fibre with a Pro fit kit: liners on the straps, gear guards that protect the bike and the riding pant from the frame, and wedge pads in the tibial area that close the gaps at the shin. Asterisk builds it by hand in Corona, California.
In the box: the brace (left, right or a pair), cotton compression undersleeves and the patented Anti-Rotation Tether, which links the brace to the boot so the two move as one.
Hinge: Asymmetri-Glide hinge that follows the rolling and gliding motion of the knee, extension regulator adjustable from 0 to 30 degrees, four adjustable straps.
Patella cup: three-piece Tele-Tri cup in high-impact Nylon 6 over shock-absorbing foam, covering the kneecap through the full range of motion. Asterisk notes that sizes S and XL come with a different style of patella cup assembly than M and L.
Weight and care: Asterisk gives about 454 g (1 lb) per brace for the Carbon Cell frame, depending on size. Metals and composites do not corrode, and the soft parts are hand washable.
Sizing: measure the knee on bare skin with the leg straight, with a soft tape around the middle of the kneecap. S 33.0 to 35.9 cm (13 to 14 1/8 in), M 36.2 to 40.0 cm (14 1/4 to 15 3/4 in), L 40.3 to 42.9 cm (15 7/8 to 16 7/8 in), XL 43.2 to 45.7 cm (17 to 18 in).
Warranty and certification: the Asterisk Carbon Cell instruction manual gives three years on frames and hinges and one year on straps, padding and patella cups. It lists the brace as category II personal protective equipment under EU Regulation 2016/425, tested for shock attenuation to EN 1621-1 Level 1.

Asterisk builds carbon fibre knee braces for motocross by hand at its factory in Corona, California. Art of Racing stocks the Carbon Cell Pro for adults, the Micro Cell for riders approximately 5 to 10 years old, Asterisk banded undersleeves in adult and youth sizes, and the Zero G Knee Brace Pant, which holds any brand of knee brace in place under the riding pant.
The Carbon Cell Pro and the Micro Cell ship with cotton compression undersleeves, and the Carbon Cell Pro also with the patented Asterisk Anti-Rotation Tether, which links the brace to the boot. Adult sizes go by knee circumference, measured on bare skin around the middle of the kneecap with the leg straight.
