Designed specifically for the Cobra CX65 (2018–2027), this kit is the choice of serious CX65 competitors who demand more from their engine than the OEM piston can reliably deliver under race conditions.
The piston is forged from aerospace-grade aluminium alloy — a fundamentally stronger manufacturing process than the cast construction used in OEM pistons. Forging creates a denser, more consistent grain structure that resists cracking under the thermal cycling and mechanical stress of race use. The dual ring design (two compression rings versus a single ring) provides improved sealing at lower RPM and mid-range, delivering stronger pull and more consistent power delivery in the riding range most relevant to the CX65's race application.
The piston features a permanent skirt coating that minimises piston-to-cylinder friction and reduces piston rock, resulting in quieter operation and reduced wear on both the piston and cylinder.
