Why it exists
When a front holeshot device is mounted to the fork guard and engaged at the start, the latch force is
concentrated at the fork guard mounting points. Plastic fork guards are not designed to handle this stress
repeatedly -- without reinforcement, the mounting area can crack or tear over time, and the device loses a
secure base.
The FGB-408 adds a CNC machined aluminium backing plate at the lower fork guard bolt position. It spreads the
mounting load across a larger surface area, protects the plastic behind the bolt, and keeps the holeshot device
seated securely across the full racing season.
When you need it
If you are installing a Tamer front holeshot device on a 2021-2025 Cobra CX50 or CX65, this bracket is the
correct reinforcement for that fork guard profile. Tamer designs a specific bracket for each fork guard shape
- the FGB-408 is the version built and tested for the Cobra platform.
